The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
Relined. Cleaned, retouched and revarnished. Some abrasions to the edges of the canvas from contact with frame. Glossy varnish overall. Under UV lamp, extensive retouchings throughout the sky and landscape. Two larger patches of retouching repairing old damages in the harbour lower right, one above the title lower centre, and one in the lower left corner.
