The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
Unlined. Frame abrasion along the edges. Scattered surface cracking, stretcher bar marks and a small paint loss in the boat at upper right. Under ultraviolet light, no apparent inpainting and an uneven varnish. Although some pigments fluoresce strongly, they appear likely original to the artist's execution.
