The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

The sheet is hinged at the corners to the backing board, and undulates slightly. A light layer of surface dust is present. The extreme edges are slightly irregular with minor wear and occasional nicks. Artist's pinholes are to the corner-tips, and associated indentations are to the upper corners. A minute loss is to the left lower edge, and pinpoint losses are infrequent. Visible upon close inspection, tiny spots of foxing are scattered. There is no apparent inpainting visible under ultraviolet light. Subject to the foregoing, it is our opinion that the work is in overall good condition.
