The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
Both items in good condition overall. The inkwell: with minor scratching to silver where the hinged hook is rotating. The seal: the bloodstone handle appears to have been re-attached, with the stone possibly shaved down a bit to fit. The silver mount with minor bruising and scratching, consistent with age. Otherwise, general surface wear to both items consistent with age.
