The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

In sound condition and ready to place. With the expected scattered light nicks, marks and faint scratches. The underside of the tabletop with evidence of old, now inactive, woodworm damage. With a few horizontal shrinkage cracks including one across the center, not visible when placed, and with subsequent glue residue from restoration. The brass gallery bent and out of round in areas. With some areas of lifting and restoration to the inlay, not extensive. The top of the stem with some slight separation resulting from a shrinkage crack along the seam and with a small restoration, not visible when placed, and stable. The marble with natural inclusions and with a repaired break to the corner. Due to warpage of the top, the marble does not sit flush but the tabletop is stable.
