Condition report
A Christie's specialist may contact you to discuss this lot or to notify you if the condition changes prior to the sale.
The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
In good condition and ready to hang. The gilding with the expected rubbing, revealing red ground in areas, cracking and with small losses revealing bole. The central mirror plate apparently original, with foxing and some small areas with losses to silvering including a circular spot in the upper center, not extensive. The cobalt glass later, as stated, and with some loss to foil on reverse resulting in some dark spots, but not extensive. With two Sotheby's inventory stickers to reverse.
