The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
Very minor wear is infrequently along the edges and to the corners. Stable drying cracks are intermittently to the burgundy passage, in keeping with the artist's working method. Only visible under very close inspection and raking light, pinpoint drip accretions are occasionally to the figures' heads. There is no apparent inpainting visible under ultraviolet light.
