Modeled as a Classical urn with a pinecone finial and gadrooned cover, the movement flanked by ormolu satyr masks, the time-indicator as a serpent set with white brilliants, on a square verde antico plinth base mounted with rams' heads suspending festoons, its sides with four ormolu panels cast with figures emblematic of the seasons, an old typewritten label reading 'R.A. / 26' atop the plinth and '402-4048' written in ink inside one door, alterations to plinth
