The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

Overall in decorative condition and ready to hang. Previously part of a larger architectural scheme, and possibly lacking certain elements as a result of removal, including to the lower edge of the shell on one example. The gilding with some rubbing, lifting, minor flaking, cracking and small losses revealing bole and bare wood. Some areas re-gilt and and possibly re-gessoed. With scattered nicks, 'nibbles' to edges, marks and some surface wear. Possibly with some minor restorations and replacements, well concealed under gilding. With scattered age and construction cracks. The reverse with hanging apparatuses. Present well overall.
