Each structurally sound, one with a crack to the upper end of its proper left back stile, flexing slightly but chair not unstable. Each with repairs and subsequent infill and associated overpaint to small areas throughout, mainly near joints and most prominently to the four vertical stiles just above the seats. One with the vertical strut at the reverse of its backrest replaced and overpainted to match the rest of the frame, the other with the concealed stretcher between its front and back seat rails replaced, several feet tipped. The surfaces generally with overall marks, nicks, surface scratches, tiny losses and repairs and some old nail-holes, consistent with age and use; now with an overall polished and stained finish.
