The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

Each in good overall condition, structurally sound, one with its proper left back leg bent slightly inward but not unstable. Some minor separation and one crack around the joints between the backs and the downswept arms, and some construction and age cracks, including some to the legs, but none unstable. Some evidence of previous woodworm damage, now inactive, to the frames, mostly at the undersides. Each with later corner blocks added, the marquise with the bent leg also reinforced with an inserted plank along its back seat rail. The painted surfaces in good condition, the decoration refreshed, with scattered chips and minor losses to carving and painted surfaces revealing bare wood in a few areas as to be expected with use and handling. Minor areas of debris accumulation in recessed areas. The upholstery with minor marks, faint discoloration and overall signs of light wear, as to be expected from use. Overall good scale and proportion, attractively upholstered, good condition and ready to place.
