Condition report
A Christie's specialist may contact you to discuss this lot or to notify you if the condition changes prior to the sale.
The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
Overall in decorative condition. With some minor fritting and small 'nibbles' along the rim, probably as a result of previous electrification. Each rim with red-painted seal mark. Each with firing imperfections in the making, including large glaze drips and pooling; one example with a large patch approximately 1 inch where the glaze likely stuck to another object in the kiln. The ormolu with typical light rubbing and oxidation. Not fixed to base mounts at present. With light surface wear including minor scuffs and surface scratches, as to be expected. Externally wired as lamps. Please note Christie's does not guarantee the working order of lighting.
