The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
The multiple mirror plates with the typical tiny losses to the silvering scattered throughout, their surfaces with the typical scattered light scratches, commensurate with handling. A small crack to secondary mirror plate at the right, not visible when hung. The frame re-gilt, with the typical scattered chips, losses to carving and gilt surfaces revealing gesso, bole and bare wood in areas as to be expected with age. Some scattered losses and restorations to the frame, mainly to small or delicate components including a tendril lacking to the left of the shell at the top and part of a scroll lacking at the left Corinthian capital. The reverse with a later backing and some old inactive woodworm. Good overall presentation, structurally sound and ready to hang.
