The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
We have sought to record changes in the condition of this piece acquired after its manufacture.
Both vases:
- In overall good condition
- Both have been mounted and drilled as lamps
- Some expected light scratches and surface abrasion
The famille rose vase:
- A few burst glaze bubbles and iron spots, which are inherent to manufacture
The blue and white vase:
- A hairline crack that extends from the belly of the qilin to the top of the deer's head
- The neck has been reduced
- A few burst bubbles, iron spots, and areas of misfiring, which are inherent to manufacture
- A few areas of adhesive residue
