The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

The group overall in good, decorative condition, and ready to place. The gilt and silvered metal in various states of oxidation, as to be expected, with tarnish and some areas of verdigris. With a slight build up of polish residue in crevices. Some of the gilt metal mounts and filigree slightly bent out of round, as expected with age and handling, particularly to the lids. The rock crystal with natural inclusions, inherent cracking and variation in color. With some very minor surface scuffs, scratches and minute 'nibbles' to edges, not readily visible under mounts. As stated one lid lacking a finial. Some lids do not sit flush in the wells. The stones of varying types; some stones lacking and some replaced. Present well as a group.
