The chaise with scattered nicks, surface scuffs, scratches and some minor dings to extreme edges. With signs of old, now inactive woodworm, resulting in some minute associated losses, including to the proper left upright behind the seat, not readily noticeable. The painted decoration refreshed, with rubbing, lifting, flaking and losses revealing barewood. Some areas with a slight loss of definition to the carved decoration, primarily to the feet. Part of the cresting on apron lacking, and with a restoration in the form of a modern screw to the underside, not visible when placed. The upholstery well maintained with very minor surface wear and light surface staining.

With some refreshment to the decoration. The caning with traces of gilding; with some breaks, as to be expected with age and use. With some visible joins.
