The surfaces generally with scattered light scratches, scuffs and minute accretions, some minor flakes to their decoration, mainly at the rims. One vase with a long J-shaped hairline crack and associated tiny losses near its origin, issuing down from the rim between the two cartouches, approx. 9¹⁄₂ in. along its length.

The giltwood lotus also presenting well. With scattered small chips, losses to carving and gilt surfaces revealing a blac ksubstrate layer or bare wood in areas as to be expected with age. Several with areas of black scatching near their necks.
