Nan Duskin was a specialty department store bringing American and European couture to Philadelphia's elite. Ann Duskin Lincoln opened the boutique in 1927, establishing herself and her business as arbiters of taste through the store's highly curated selection of couture garments and designers.
A similar paisley wool ensemble by Galanos was shown in a Nan Duskin advertisement from 1957.
