Overall in good, decorative condition and ready to place. With typical scattered nicks, marks, surface scuffs and scratches, consistent with age and use. The painted decoration refreshed, now with lifting, flaking and losses. The upholstery overall in very good condition, with minor staining and light wear. With a light layer of surface dirt and would benefit from gentle cleaning.
The chaises with rubbing and losses to the painted decoration along the seat rim and back, as well as the feet revealing barewood; and with rubbing to the gilding on the rosettes. With some further light abrasions to the seat back consistent with use. With some scattered dark circular stains to the legs as well. With some minor separation at joins. 31 in. high, overall 14.5 in. high, the seat 19 in. wide 16 in. deep
The fauteuil with rubbing to the gilding and with some small losses revealing gesso and in some areas bare wood. The cream paint lifting, with some flaking and small losses, primarily along the extreme edges not extensive. With some abrasions to the stretcher, and some well concealed restorations where it meets the center, as to be expected.
