'Phyllis Galembo’s Cibachrome prints have a luminosity that is stunning. It is one thing to see a reproduction in a book or magazine, but experiencing the physical print can offer a singular moment of transcendence. Galembo has searched out indigenous peoples and their costume, but her real journey is deeper. She is looking for direct and personal interactions with people and their beliefs and rituals. These are her reports.' – W.M. Hunt
