REBEYROLLE, Paul (artist, b.1926). Journée des intellectuels pour le Viet-Nam. 23 mars 1968. Paris: ICC London, 1968. Sold with another similarly titled, but signed ?'Matta'.

Two rare French posters attacking the United States' involvement in Vietnam.

2 offset lithographic posters (ea. 383 x 584 mm.), printed in colours. (Rebeyrolle poster with 35 mm. tear to lower margin, both with pin holes at corners.)

VERY RARE PAIR OF POSTERS, published in the run up to the outbreak of civil unrest in France in May 1968. The posters were published by intellectuals aligned with communists and socialists opposed to President Charles de Gaulle and his Gaullist Party, and are therefore supportive of the communists in Vietnam against the involvement of the capitalist United States.
