In very good condition having been professionally restored (probably in UK in the last 30 years). Some minor stains and chips to paper and occasional manuscritp infill (the largest 35 x 35mm.) Revarnished with subtle matt finish. The horizon with usual chipping and loss, much of the original outer red paint retained, same matt varnish. The stand original and not the oftern seen facsimiles made to convert table globes. One foot repaired with replaced acorn foot. The compass needle and glass lacking. A highly decorative celestial globe presenting well.
