Fourteenth edition, rare in the original wrappers. W.G. Grace is the top century maker in the 1876 season with 400 not out for the United South of England Eleven against 22 of Grimsby, and the first ever triple centuries in the first class game, 344 for M.C.C. v Kent, and 318 not out for Gloucestershire v Yorkshire. He finishes the summer with 2,622 runs and 129 wickets. Meanwhile, Nicholas Felix, Thomas Box and Julius Caesar are among an older generation who quietly pass away.

Octavo (162 x 103mm). 248pp. (Small nick to lower corner of title, A5 with lower corner chipped and crudely repaired, light spotting to title extending through first quire, and affecting a few leaves in the middle of the textblock and final 4 leaves, faint marginal soiling to quire F, quire H with a few very minor marginal tears at foot of gutter.) Original printed pale-pink wrappers (rebacked, light soiling, somewhat heavier to rear wrapper).
