Details
The majority of the service is decorated with an extensive river landscape with fishermen in sampans, and pagodas and pavilions on the riverbank, within elaborate composite borders, comprising: an oblong octagonal soup tureen, cover and stand, a sauce-tureen, cover and stand, ten serving dishes in sizes, three leaf-shaped sauce boats and stands, two square bowls with canted corners, two salts, two saucer-shaped dishes, two mazarins and strainers, twenty-four plates, twelve soup-plates, eleven dessert plates, all en suite; and a punch pot and cover, similarly decorated, and a pair of oval sauce-tureens, covers and stands, similarly decorated.
