We have sought to record changes in the condition of this piece acquired after its initial manufacture.
- The glaze is of an attractive pale blue tone and is suffused with a network of fine crackles.
- There are a few scattered iron spots.
- There is a frit to the foot of the box measuring approx. 0.8 x 0.3 cm. and a chip of approx. 0.4 x 0.5 cm.
- There is a shallow chip to the rim of the box measuring approx. 0.6 x 0.4 cm.
- There is a very small chip to the cover measuring approx. 0.3 x 0.2 cm.
- There are some nicks to all rims as may be expected.
