The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
La toile est libre et présente une légère ondulation. Les bords sont irréguliers et par endroits éffilochés, ce qui est inhérent au medium utilisé par l'artiste. Les couleurs sont très légèrement passées. La pliure horizontale au centre est due à l'ancienne méthode de conservation. Quelques traces de pliure sont visibles, principalement dans la partie inférieure de l'oeuvre. Sous réserve de ce qui précède, selon notre opinion, l'oeuvre est en bon état général de conservation.
The canvas is free and undulates slightly. The edges are deckled and frayed in places, inherent to the medium used by the artist. The colours are very slightly faded. The horizontal fold to the center is due to a former storing method. There are a few folding marks especially to the lower part. Subject to the foregoing, it is our view that the work appears to be in overall good condition.
