Rockwell meets Mathieu in the Thomas Struth’s museum

The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

L'œuvre est sur sa toile d'origine. La toile très légèrement détendue et présente un très léger vernis. La surface est légèrement poussiéreuse et présente des petites accrétions par endroits. De légers frottements, de très fines traces de manipulation sont visibles par endroits et notamment le long des bords. Présence d'une très fine griffure le long du bord supérieur vers la droite. Examinée à la lumière UV: pas de repeint apparent. Sous réserve de ce qui précède, selon notre opinion, l’œuvre est en bon état général de conservation. 

The work is not lined. The canvas is varnished and slightly loose. The surface is slightly dusty and presents small accretions in places. There is a thin scratch along the upper edge, to the right, very thin handling marks along the edges, as well as rubbing in places. Examined under UV light: no visible inpainting. Subject to the foregoing, it is our view that the work appears to be in overall good condition.
