The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

L’œuvre est sur sa toile d’origine. De très fines craquelures de séchages sont visibles par endroits sur la surface. Une très légère trace de frottement est visible le long du bord inférieur. Les fines griffures horizontales semblent être inhérentes à la méthode de travail de l’artiste. Présence d’une très légère griffure dans le quart supérieur droit, dans la partie noire. Examinée à la lumière UV: pas de repeint apparent. Sous réserve de ce qui précède, selon notre opinion, l’œuvre est en bon état général de conservation.

The work is not lined. Very thin drying cracks are visible in places to the surface. A very slight rubbing mark is visible along the lower edge. The thin very fine horizontal scratches seem inherent to the artist's working method. There is a slight scratch in the upper right quadrant, in the black area. Examined under UV light: no visible inpainting. Subject to the foregoing, it is our view that the work appears to be in overall good condition.
