The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
In fair condition overall.
With the inevitable knocks, marks, losses, scratches and shrinkage cracks, consistent with age and use.
With evidence of historic but apparently inactive woodworm throughout, particularly to the cresting, legs and rails.
Some losses to carving throughout.
The rails and legs have historic pegged and blocked repairs.
The pegged construction slightly unstable and would benefit from securing.
The back legs have been capped with replacement timber.
The upholstery in fair condition but with fraying, staining and wear to the edges. Particularly to the seat cushion and armrests.
Otherwise decorative and structurally secure.
