Each decorated in various coloured enamels and gilt over a crackled cream glaze with elaborate scenes including high-ranking courtesans with their young attendants in a garden with over-hanging cherry blossoms, and a scene with warriors and mythical creatures including the nine-tailed fox, a tengu, Kinko riding the giant carp and a giant toad, the sides with smaller panels depicting a peacock and peahen and red-capped cranes; all bordered by lavish brocade patterns and writhing dragons between aoi mon, the necks with further stylised patterns and roundels containing carp; together with a pair of European marble-topped giltwood stands
