Condition report
A Christie's specialist may contact you to discuss this lot or to notify you if the condition changes prior to the sale.
The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
Good condition overall and ready to use. Overall with inevitable scratches, marks, discolouration, consistent with age and use. Dirt, dust and some tarnishing to the mounts and gilding, which would benefit from a light clean. Some knocks to the extremitites. As catalogued, differences in the size and construction - one being constructed with bolts and able to be disassembled. This example with three panels of vases to the front, all of which have cracks through the panels and with evidence of restoration to the applied elements, including some later replacements. The other with vase flanked by ribbon-tied floral and fruiting trails, the central panel cracked and with some loss and repairs, and with black-painted backboards.
