In overall fairly good condition.
With the inevitable marks, losses, scratches and minor shrinakge, consistent with age and use.
The marble top appears original and with minor nibbling to the edges and pitting and surface scratches to the top.
The ormolu in good condition, fairly bright in tone but with some areas of tarnishing and oxidisation.
Some dust and dirt to the casting crevices which would benefit from cleaning.
The right hand side with horizontal scratch to the mahogany which would benefit from very minor restoration.
The leather to the box files, to the interior, with some inevtiable wear and surface scuffs and scratching, as to be expected.
The leather surrounding the hinged lids of each box with more extensive wear, as to be expected.
Areas of the leather have undoubtedly been secured to these areas.
Otherwise structurally secure and ready to use.
