Each vase of baluster form and with cover, decorated in typical Imari coloured enamels and gilt over underglaze blue with three lobed panels to each body containing birds amongst bamboo over rocks, birds amongst plum branches over peonies issuing from rocks, and chrysanthemums and grasses beside fences, each shoulder with a circumferential band containing squirrels eating grapes entwined amongst a bamboo fence, each neck with stylised flowers and leaves; each with later fitted wood storage box (tomobako)
