Condition report
A Christie's specialist may contact you to discuss this lot or to notify you if the condition changes prior to the sale.
The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
In overall fairly good condition. The patinated bronze, as stated dark-brown in colour with a chocolatey patina overall. Some rubbing to the high-points which reveals a lighter brown. Some dirt and dust to the crevices of casting, which would benefit from cleaning. This is most noticable to the crevices to the hands, drapery and hair. Some minor areas of verdgris to these deep areas of casting also. One figure with small casting cracks to the reverse. The iron supports in good condition and have dense black polish. Some areas of black polish have some very minor heat damage, as to be expected. Otherwise highly decorative and usable.
