With a clean new cotton backing with some stains to the upper end, and fitted with hanging ropes. The tapestry is of fine weave and good color retention. Scatter re-weaves throughout, with the largest being approximately 12 in. by 2 in. to the lower columns on the right side. Further smaller re-weaves scattered, some distinguishable by a change in color. Some oxidized dark browns with visible foundation. Some slits, most to color changes. Scattered re-stitching. Some hardened stiff areas around the left urn in the field where the tapestry is slightly dry and splitting. We would recommend securing and restoring. The border with some small re-weaves, the largest being in the upper right corner approximately 2 in. by 6 in. The lower left corner with a dime sized backed hole with some smaller repaired holes nearby, possibly from former moth damage. The outer strips re-woven and now with some remnants of hardened glue, possibly from an associated wooden frame. In overall good condition and design.
