The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

The marble with scattered surface nicks and scratches, natural inclusions, and minor 'nibbling' to edges. Some areas of infill to the edges from some larger chips. The back right corner previously off but restored with some very minor associated glue residue and infill. Previously re-gilt, the giltwood with some scattered chips, losses to carving and gilt surfaces revealing gesso, bole and bare wood in areas as to be expected with age. Some minor separation at the joins. With a repaired break along the front of the frieze with associated glue residue. Further restoration to the back right corner. A further crack along the join of the apron with some further cracking and chipped losses to the gilding. With some further minor areas of restoration throughout. Both legs later blocked. With typical minor signs of old wood worm, now inactive.
