The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

Overall with surface wear and scratches as to be expected with age and use. The dishes with heavier knife scratches to the centers, and with scattered minor bruises. Engraving possibly removed from one side of dishes. One with a small bruise to the reverse rim at one corner probably from stacking, the other with a bruise to the underside. As noted, the covers associated and maker's mark obscured, engraving removed from sides and now shiny. Finials lacking date letter.
