The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

Each ceramic figure with restorations to old breaks, and touch-ups to scattered firing cracks. One burden atop an elephant's back is secured by later wiring. There are both large and smaller chips to the extremities, in particular to the flowers on the burdens, the ruy-head ornaments, elephant ears and trunks
