The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

Overall in good decorative condition and ready to place. The silvered and giltwood with scattered chips, losses to carving and gilt surfaces revealing gesso, bole and bare wood in areas as to be expected with age. With some typical minor signs of old wood worm, now inactive. Further with some general wear and rubbing to the silvered and gilt surfaces. Some separation at the construction joins. With restored old breaks throughout, some along construction joins, such as to the arms, and further smaller restored breaks throughout. Some minor old wax residue consistent with use. One with a repaired break to the ribbons just above the monogram, with associated glue residue. One with the left C-scroll and side decoration possibly previously off and now reattached, and with associated bracing to the back. Further with bracing to the other side, though no evidence that side was off as well.
