The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

The interior in good condition, some dust and dirt, some light foxing, a few brown stains to right hand rear corner, general dirt marks, small pink stain to one corner, rust stains around pins along canvas edges, some minor bubbling of canvas in places, canvas peeling in places mainly along the edges and the lock; the lid with a partial sticker, a few black marks; the exterior also in good general condition, with a few scuffs, scratches and dents, a few small losses predominately on the edges and corners; the brass with some tarnishing.
