The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

The interior in good general condition, with some dark staining behind the clothes rail, some light dirt marks to the canvas on both sides, some scuffs, scratches and wear to the canvas, the bottom drawer missing, the drawers all with some general dirt marks and small stains, the top drawer with lock key missing, the canvas of the second drawer peeling along lower edge; the exterior canvas is in good condition and is bright and fresh, minor scuffs and scratches and some cracking to canvas, the canvas has a slight shine possibly due to being varnished; the brass with a few scuffs and scratches, has been polished to a mirror finish, the leather handles both with scuffs, scratches and wear, some cracking to leather, discolouration consistent with use; the composite leather binding with a few scuffs, scratches and dents, a few stains but in general good condition with fresh appearance; the wooden battons with uniform marks around the pins and a varnished appearance; a couple of spot repairs to the base interior.
