The edge is ringed by ruby colored stones and lettered "National Champions." One shank has the name "Williams", number "15", and "SAF" position noted, presumably having been issued for player Eddie Williams. Opposite reads "Crimson Tide", notes the Championship game score over Notre Dame, and has a "Back to Back National Champions" logo at the bottom. Interior band is engraved "Carry The Water Till It Turns To Wine" and there are Herf Jones and "ULT" marks (very faint).
