Norma Jeane Dougherty officially changed her name to Marilyn Monroe on 3 December 1946. During the month of December 1946, 20th Century Fox Studios sent at least three of their young actresses (Marilyn Monroe, June Haver and Peggy Ann Garner) to participate in Christmas promotion for carmaker Kaiser Frazer, distributing gifts to children and posing with Santa Claus.
