The contract presented here deals with two important events in Elvis Presley's film and television career. The first is Singer Presents... Elvis more commonly referred to as the '68 Comeback Special, a television concert special which aired on NBC on 3 December 1968, marking Elvis' return to live performance after seven years of focusing on his film career. The special included musical performances as well as footage of Elvis talking about difference aspects of his career and his music to camera. This television special marked the resurgence of Elvis' career and popularity.
The second is Elvis' final film Change of Habit, released 10 November 1969 and also starring Mary Tyler Moore. This musical crime drama told the story of three Catholic nuns who dress in plain clothes to work at a clinic in a rough neighborhood. There one of the nuns, Sister Michelle played by Moore, falls for the clinics Dr. Carpenter, played by Elvis. The film was generally well received, with specific praise for its handling of inner city issues and portrayal of autism with one of the clinic's patients, and is thought of as one of Elvis' best films.
