Original lined paper writing tablet (6"x9") was used by Knute Rockne during his days as a student at Notre Dame. He has signed the front cover twice in pencil and written "Zoology" along the top, added a 1912 date range, and noted the hall in which he attended the classes at bottom. The stronger signature rates 7/8-8 out of 10 while the weaker has faded (approx. 5-5/6) and the end of the last name is effected by some colored pencil scribbles. The inside is filled on nearly all pages with handwritten notes and a good number of drawings. All but the last page or two relate to the field of study with the balance being an accounting of living expenses. Handling and some general age/storage related wear and soiling and there are a few missing sheets of paper. A desirable piece related to the school at which Rockne would later become a legendary coach. Includes full LOA from PSA/DNA: GD-EX
