Exceedingly rare period issued piece done to promote a "Base Ball Carnival" in Washington D.C. on 3 July 1924 and the Yankees vs. Senators games which were to be played on the three days which followed. Pictured along the bottom are Babe Ruth and Walter Johnson. Printed on what appears to be paper stock and trimmed down from its' original size with the two remaining portions ("Washington, D.C." text along the top is on a small strip, balance is on the remains of a larger sheet) measuring approx. 10.25"x8.25" at extremes. Housed in 12.5"x14.5" frame with visible wear including creasing, wrinkles, toning/discoloration, and there is a small piece of tape applied (connecting top strip to remainder). Exceedingly scarce with this being the only example we can recall seeing in decades: See description
