Apollo 11 was already about 91,000 km or 49,000 nautical miles (and not 10,000 nautical miles as indicated in error in the NASA original caption) from Earth when this picture was made with the 250mm telephoto lens.

It shows the disc of planet Earth as only 24 astronauts of the Apollo Project between December 1968 and December 1972 could see it in human history.
