697 a The photograph was taken looking south south west with the 3-inch focal length from an altitude of 109 km and a Sun elevation of 30°.
The 18-km Crater Dawes is at the bottom left and the 41-km Crater Plinius in the center; with the Sea of Serenity below and the Sea of Tranquillity above. The 24-km Crater Jansen is at the extreme left; the 24-km Crater Ross and the 20-km Crater Maclear are at the right near the western edge of the Sea of Tranquillity. The 26-km Crater Arago is near the horizon. Latitude / longitude: 16.5° N / 24.3° E.
697 b The photograph was taken looking south toward the southwestern portion of the Apeninne mountain range with the 3-inch focal length from an altitude of 114 km and a Sun elevation of 31°.
Mons Huysgens is in the center of image, rising 5,500 m above the plain of the south-eastern Sea of Rains (bottom right of image).
The Sea of Vapors is at top left and Seething Bay at top right. Latitude / longitude: 19.6° N / 2.8° W.

Overall in very good condition with wear commensurate with age and use.
