This high resolution photograph (full view of frame IV-189H2) was taken with the 610mm telephoto lens from an altitude of 2877 km. The 70-km Crater Lavoisier, named after the french chemist Antoine Lavoisier, is the largest crater at the bottom of picture. The 60-km Crater Von Braun, named after the rocket pioneer Wernher Von Braun, lies along the western edge of the Ocean of Storms whose mare surface is visible to the right, to the northeast of Lavoisier. Latitude 41.71° N, longitude 79.99° W.

This high resolution photograph (partial view of frame IV-191H3) was taken from an altitude of 5,503 km with the 610mm telephoto lens, showing the 126-km Crater Cleomedes (top of picture, named after the greek astronomer Cleomedes), located on the northern shore of the Sea of Crises which is 556 km in diameter, with notably the 23-km Crater Picard (bottom center left) visible on the otherwise smooth mare surface.
