The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
The watch shows light signs of wear with a polished case. The numbers are visible between the lugs. The inside case back has the serial number engraved and is stamped '1665' and 'I.72'. There are also watchmaker's marks to the inside case back. The bezel insert and pip are service replacements. The dial has been relumed and there are some marks from this around the hour markers. The hands appear to have been relumed as well and are a greenish color, but do not glow as long as the hour markers under black light. The bracelet is later for the watch, but is in good condition with light signs of wear. The date changes as the hands pass midnight. The movement is in working order at the time of cataloging, consistent with the age of the watch. The movement has not been tested for accuracy. A service is recommended given the age of the watch.
